Canton Cup

One of the reasons I usually prefer to shoot the lower category riders, as opposed to the Elites, is the raw emotions.The Elites are mean efficient machines, they have even trained themselves to hide the pain. You could say, most of the time, they show great poker faces. I am sure the Elites go deep into the Pain Cave, but they hide it well! It is hard (not impossible) to capture an Elite in the house of Pain.

Canton Cup 2009

Pain Face posted his Canton Cup photos earlier in the week.  Now that it’s Tuesday, and I’ve had my morning coffee, here’s the second coming. 

It’s mostly the The Men’s 3/4.  The sun started coming out for that race and the lighting was great.  I also shot a few during the earlier races, like the Elite Men 35+, 45+ 3/4, and Some Juniors, but the light was flat and I was as sucking with the camera as I was on my bike that day.
