Lowell - Shedd Park Cyclocross race 2009

After Coaching my sons last soccer game of the fall season, I made it just in time to race.
Boston Road Club Cyclocross Race at Shedd Park - Lowell. They put on a great race.
After my race I had a little time before I had to rush home for some family commitments. but I had a chance to snap some shots of the Women's Elite race and the junior race. they both had the same time slot. I think this season, I have been able to photograph every category at one race or another.

Backyard Jumps

I've been building dirt jumps in my backyard for my boy, a couple of the neighborhood kids came over
to huck some air. I broke out the camera, I swear the kids get twice the air when the camera makes an appearance.

Kids at the Dirt Jumps

it's so cool watching the kids totally up their game when the Camera comes out!
one of this kids was getting absolutely no air, he kept trying and asking:
"Did I get any air? can I see the pic?" every time "sorry buddy, no air, you need more speed"

then BAM, he got it!

Canton Cup 2009

Pain Face posted his Canton Cup photos earlier in the week.  Now that it’s Tuesday, and I’ve had my morning coffee, here’s the second coming. 

It’s mostly the The Men’s 3/4.  The sun started coming out for that race and the lighting was great.  I also shot a few during the earlier races, like the Elite Men 35+, 45+ 3/4, and Some Juniors, but the light was flat and I was as sucking with the camera as I was on my bike that day.
